Abdul Aziz has a Ph D. in neurophysiology from the University of London, England, in 1976. He had designed,
built and used two electronic devices for his Ph D programme.

His post-doctoral fellowship was at Leeds Medical School, University of Leeds, England in 1988, and had been
actively involved in cellular neurophysiology research and was a project leader for a Joint European Community
Research Grant for identifying and elucidating of neuroactive activities of local plants and animal-derived compounds.

At the University of Malaya, he lectures not only in Neurophysiology but also in pharmacology and alternative medicines.

He had also been very active in the Malaysian Society of Neurosciences, as council members, Treasurer and
Vice-President, and was a member of the teaching team for IBRO (International Brain Research Organization)
Intensive Neuroscience Workshops in the Asia Pacific region between 1990 to 1995.

From 1996, together with his wife Saleha, they had initiated and currently run the most well equipped chiropractic
and podiatry clinic in Malaysia, employing Americans, Australians, Canadians, German, Filipino and South African
Chiropractors, Podiatrist and Physiotherapist.

Dr. Abdul Aziz is currently the President of the Malaysian Society of Complementary Therapies, which is one
of the five umbrella bodies under the Ministry of Health that regulate the practices of alternative medicines in
Malaysia. The other four umbrella bodies being, Homeopathy, Malay Traditional, Chinese Traditional and Indian
Traditional Medicines.
